In the Name of God, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
96:1-2 Read: In the name of your Lord Who creates, creates man from a clot.
96:3-5 Read: And your Lord is the Most Bounteous, Who teaches by means of the pen, teaches man that which he knew not.
96:6-8 Nay, but verily man is rebellious, that he thinks himself independent! Lo! To your Lord is the return.
96:9-14 Have you seen him who dissuades a slave when he prays? Have you seen if he (relies) on the guidance (of God) or enjoins piety? Have you seen if he denies (God's guidance) and is froward? Is he then unaware that God sees?
96:15-18 Nay, but if he ceases not, We will seize him by the forelock – The lying, sinful forelock – then let him call upon his henchmen! We will call the guards of Hell.
96:19 Nay! Obey not you him. But prostrate yourself, and draw near (to God).
