Sura Al-Inshiqaaq (The Splitting Asunder)
Sheikh / AbdulBaset AbdulSamad

  • In the Name of God, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful

84:1-6 When the heaven is split asunder and attentive to her Lord in fear, and when the earth is spread out and has cast out all that was in her, and is empty, and attentive to her Lord in fear! You verily, O man, are working toward your Lord a work, which you will meet (before Him).

84:7-15 Then whoever is given his account in his right hand, he truly will receive an easy reckoning, and will return to his folk in joy. But whoever is given his account behind his back, he surely will invoke destruction and be thrown to the scorching Fire. He verily lived joyous with his folk; he verily deemed that he would never return (to God). Nay, but lo! His Lord is ever looking on him!

84:16-19 Oh, I swear by the afterglow of sunset, and by the night and all that it enshrouds, and by the moon when she is at the full that you shall journey on from plain to plain.

84:20-25 What ails them, then, that they believe not, and when the Quran is recited to them, worship not (God)? Nay, but those who disbelieve will deny; and God knows best what they are hiding. So give them tidings of a painful punishment, except those who believe and do good works, for theirs is a reward unfailing.
